We were never separated in Fairfax County, in the late 80s and early 90s. When did that start??
Where I went to school, we were separated. Coed sex ed? Mortifying.
Not really. I had coed sex ed back in the 80s. It’s no big deal.
In ES? Most Sex Ed happens in high schools. I am from the NorthEast and we did not have this type of instruction in 4-6th grade. Started in health class in 8-12.
Different poster, I also had coed sex ed classes, similar to what they are doing in FLE, starting in 5th grade. In the mid 1980's in a relatively rural/conservative part of Pennsylvania. I remember one single time they separated boys and girls for a few minutes so that kids could feel more comfortable asking questions (which absolutely no one did). There was more detailed/mature sex ed content in MS and HS. I have 2 boys, one of whom had FLE this year, and am fine with the kids being together.
