Putin is visibly losing his composure, ya'll. In a recent address, Putin sulks about being abandoned by his friends, and compares the West's sanctions to Nazi pogroms against Jews  And considering it was RUSSIA that carried out pogroms, including in Kyiv and surrounding areas, this comparison is extra crazy. Does anyone else feel like his tenure is almost over, and he knows it and he's panicking? That's what I got from watching this.
Sometime YouTube comments can have nuggets of wisdom. It was refreshing to see a lack of trolls in the comment section to that video. This one particular comment really resonated with me and hit the nail on the head:
During his tenure Vladimir Putin had plenty of options. He just chose the ones where he gets to roleplay a great leader. Too bad the world moved away from military thinking to economic thinking many decades ago. The shift actually started happening during the Cold War. Now its all about economic interests and the truth is no one wants to mess with a nuclear Russia. So while that is true Russia could've sold all the resources it ever wanted, developed its infrastructure, improved its wealth & lives of its citizen, but none of this really happened. No, what happened was Vladimir Putin just doing 'Kadyrov' things over his 20 years rule of Russia. Wrestling with polar bears, hunting and riding horses, collecting the most expensive watches, et cetera. The standard cult of personality BS. That leads us to the situation today. What we see is Vladimir Putin's complete failure of understanding the geopolitics of the 21st century. It is all about economy. That's the problem with this guy. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. China for example understands exactly what it needs to do how to play the geopolitical game. This is ironic too, because everyone perceived this man as a political mastermind, but if we put his legacy into economical terms we will see what an utter screw up he has been.
