There is mutual benefit that drives having these seeded showcases. College coaches can see all the recruits in one place, less traveling. Players can be seen by many coaches in one place. These tournaments would not exist if not for the recruiting aspects and corporate sponsorships making them profitable. It’s not about identifying the best team. Teams win as long as they just qualify for these tournaments because it helps their players be seen, get recruited by colleges, which helps them recruit more players. [/quote]
