Colleges look at official HS school transcript grades leading up to application as well as difficulty of coursework taken. Cum Laude excludes 9th grade (includes some non-transcript grades) and does not differentiate between coursework (honors, etc.) as there is no grade weighting. This year looks to be similar to previous years in that there are likely more admits (not listed as Cum Laude) admitted to these same schools based on their official school transcript - certainly good news for a COVID year![/quote]
