What should they be asking for? Food stamps and a bowl of gruel? Their parents don't have the money and they are probably asking for the same things their peers have. It is a wish tree after all...[/quote]

Why shouldn't they ask for what they want? If their parents can't afford it isn't that what a wish tree is for?
Or should they be satisfied with a ball? A slinky? A ragdoll? Only children from families of wealth should ask for expensive items? 
FWIW, some people wold by the nano for the wish tree child. Maybe some of you would feel better about life if you did.[/quote]
