I can’t blame her for reacting the way she did to being frozen out almost immediately. The rest of the family expected her to conform to her misery because they conformed to theirs, but that doesn’t make their reaction natural.

In the show, yes, she comes across as a complete emotional tyrant. However, she was adored by the public and no one ever got any sense of the person behind the crown. She just turned up and smiled, beatifically. [/quote]
