Teacher here. I have been saying this since the day before winter break when it was communicated very clearly  to us this is what is happening and frankly[b] it is ALARMING how many parents whose very vocal haranguing to open schools and who are directly responsible for this choice are now in disbelief it will actually happen[/b]. People, we keep telling you, in each of these districts, they have decided to THROW AWAY community spread metrics and go in pretending it doesn’t spread in schools. And if you were one of those people yelling at them to open schools open schools open schools, this is your doing and the fact you want to believe now it won’t happen when a lot of teachers and kids are about to have to face the consequences of YOUR words and actions is appalling to me . I get being pissed but you know these are not necessarily the same parents, right? There is an entire block of reasonable parents out there, that neither think school should open during the height of the pandemic, nor think that schools should stay closed until there is zero covid-19 risk.[/quote]
