Bullis has openly and unashamedly recruited in football and basketball for years against league rules. Others did it too but Bullis doesn't try to hide it. And in recent years they recruited openly through the efforts of Performance SS. They gave a scholarship for a well to do family for a kid to come from a private school in VA to play lacrosse and then that kid runs back to VA never to be heard from again by the Bullis community. The school has tons of money and incredible facilitities and provides tons of aid so of course it attracts talent. Perhaps the situation occuring this summer where Bellistri's job was saved by a correct alumni and school support group and the firing of Performance SS will knock them back a bit but not for the next couple of years.
