Yesterday afternoon Georgetown Pike has no traffic at all. I live off the road and was really amazed how little cars were on the road at 5pm. Then I realized that today is a school holiday in Maryland, so some parents may have take time off and hence no traffic in McLean!! Wow!! Think of all the negative impact the Maryland drivers have on McLean. Unreal!!
That post makes no sense
The poster is claiming that, because MCPS closed yesterday for the Jewish holidays, people from Maryland who work in Virginia took the day off, reducing the traffic along Georgetown Pike in the Langley area of McLean. I don’t know if it’s true or not. The traffic on the GW Parkway was lighter this summer when people from Arlington were on vacation, but I don’t think that means we have to close the Spout Run entrance to the Parkway.
