And there are clearly reasons people could oppose it other than keeping minorities down. Nothing is free. One could reasonably argue that the people who stand to benefit from the education pay for at least part of it. In addition to this arguably being more equitable it gives people more skin in the game. For people who can't afford tuition, there are way to allow them to attend without making it free for them not to mention others who can afford at least some tuition, such as no or low cost loans. And of course, some people oppose providing this benefit to undocumented immigrants, which is not inherently racist, whether you agree with it or not.[/quote]
