It's all part of allowing sin into the world. When God made a perfect world and gave it to Adam, Adam turned around and gave dominion of it to Satan. God could not allow Satan to inherit a perfect world, and so it was cursed. Death, disease, disaster, all that followed. If you focus on that,  you are left with nihilistic despair. But Jesus says, "Take heart! I have overcome the world!" The LORD has prepared a perfect place that we can enjoy forever with no disease, death, suffering, nothing but eternal joy in the presence of our creator and savior. We get there by faith in Jesus Christ. It's not hard, but you have to put aside your pride and confess your sins to Him. Imagine if God just let everyone in, regardless of whether they confessed their sins, regardless of whether they put their trust in Christ. You'd end up with the same thing we have here. Put your trust in Christ, and he will cleanse you from your sins, provide the Holy Spirit to help you live a more and more holy life (but with effort) and eventually raise you into perfection with Him when He has given the world enough time to repent. It's really not a hard story. If you truly despise evil in the world, turn your life to the LORD, who will put an end to all the suffering that has been wrought at man's rejection of God.[/quote]
