She stooped to the level of Trump and his minions. Slinging mud and hurling insults isn't going to get us anywhere. Repeat: They go low, we go high.
I think you are confused. The people who RUN THE COUNTRY should not be slinging mud. However, comedians should be allowed to do whatever they feel like doing, insulting or not. If you don't like it, don't watch her Netflix special. Her type of humor is not my cup of tea and I would never really watch her. But it is beyond hypocrisy to act like she did something wrong. There is no way she could stoop to the level of Trump, because she does not have that level of responsibility. There is no way for her to be as bad as him, because she is not a leader. Her job is to take care of herself and write jokes.
You are right. If you don’t like her, don’t watch her shows. The problem is... the president of the WHCA thought it was appropriate to have her address this group of people, and ultimately, the nation since it was broadcast live. Did you know that CSPAN had to cut its radio feed for the first time ever during Wolf’s speech? That tells you that she crossed the line. They should have known this was not the right person for the event. And, I disagree with you that comedians should be allowed to do whatever they feel like doing. Or, at least, we as the public should hold them accountable when they cross that line - much like what happened with Kathy Griffin. It is not acceptable to be cruel and hateful because of “comedy.”
