It has something to do with our laws and not preventing people seeking asylum from entering. These migrants have been warned they could be held for months, and separated from their children. So, they should know what they are facing. Our govt has also said that anyone making false statements will be prosecuted. And, anyone seeking asylum under false pretenses will be prosecuted. My issue is if they were truly seeking asylum - they just traversed through Mexico. They could have sought asylum there. [/quote]
