Think what you like. I think it's wrong not to speak out about human rights violations and discrimination in whatever form or shape they take -- whether it's discrimination against people of color, women, LGBT, poor people, religious minorities, or other disenfranchised people who have no power and no say in the harms inflicted on them. A whole lot of harm to children is done in the name of parental choice and parental rights, and circumcision is one of those harms. In this country, the circumcision of boys is so normalized and the circumcision of girls is so abhorrent that people don't even realize the cultural blinders they have on. I think it's the right thing to do to speak out against it. If I'd been alive during the age of slavery in this country, I hope I would have been a zealous missionary for abolition. If I'd been alive during the time before women got the vote, I hope I would have been a zealous missionary for full suffrage. [/quote]
