I have mentioned to my mom the possibility of us moving back where it's cheaper, and she got her feelings WAY hurt and was angry for weeks.  :( I don't know what to do... We cannot afford to live here, but in my heart I can't imagine not taking in every moment with both sets of parents (and siblings) - before someone passes away and we regret not spending time with them. What do you mean [b]Own a foreclosed town home[/b]?  OP-are you in foreclosure?  Both parents and IL's are wealthy and your house is in foreclosure?  What's wealthy?  
I'm confused.  Did the DH graduate ffrom college hence the loans and is now getting a BS in accounting?

Why not move in with 1 of the sets of parents?  Any empty nester with 4 beds 3 full baths would be logical.[/quote]
