I live in Falls Church City.

Pros: walkable, a lot of young families, lots of activities through the community center for little kids, friendly town, close to Tysons, the freeways, and the airport.

Cons: we get so much praise for our schools but unless you live here you don't know the issues: teachers quitting left and right due to little support, new teachers and admin turn-over is huge, classrooms sizes maxed out but there are teacher's aids. Traffic is pretty bad during rush hour. If you're driving expect 45 min to 1 hour during rush hour. Metro is obviously the better way to travel. Are you a hip young family? Because nightlife here consists of oldster bands covering Steely Dan. The few bars on Broad St are all old boring people with horrible taste in music. The best coffee shop is full of old people with their laptops... it's like a graveyard in there. Kindred Cafe. State Theater is a sad sack for faux 80s bands covering pop music.
