So, other than saying he would nominate conservative Supreme Court justices, he has said nothing that they should be fearful of?
That's a pretty big thing in and of itself. The other fear is that he won't veto what Congress tries to push through. So this isn't even about Pence. If Congress tries to push through legislation allowing businesses (and even medical facilities) to refuse to serve LGBT based on religious beliefs, I think most people fear that Trump won't veto it. Trump has said so many conflicting things during his campaign, so the overall feeling is that while he may not be vocally against the gay community, he doesn't care enough to veto or stop what the Republican-dominated Congress tries to do. And the Supreme Court appointments make it even worse because the only avenue people have if Congress passes (and Pres. Trump signs) anti-LGBT legislation is through the courts, but if there are two very conservative justices appointment, that means that avenue of recourse is gone as well. And again, given Trump has actually said very little about what he actually will or won't do, the predominant theory is that he will delegate a lot of the decision-making to the Republicans in Congress. And they have been clear about what they would like to do. That's is the concern some people have.
