Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a common, chronic and long-lasting disorder in which a person has uncontrollable, reoccurring thoughts (obsessions) and behaviors (compulsions) that he or she feels the urge to repeat over and over.
Lucky for me, then, that my OCD financed the purchase of a second home on the West coast. (FYI Steve Jobs was described as an OCD PITA, and that seems to have worked out quite well for Apple).
L.M.A.O.....did you really just compare yourself (and your second house)to Steve Jobs...?!?! /slowclap
Not at all. In our Type-A, hyperdriven, super-competitive, high-achieving environment and cohort we often discount and look down upon people with OCD, ADD, Autism-spectrum, and other issues. I am actually not OCD, but I am proud that you think so. And thus I am citing one of the most successful examples of OCD-driven women and men, and not the only one, to demonstrate that you should never underestimate or discriminate against a person you consider somehow "disabled". But go ahead and be a superior "jerk" who looks down on people who are differently-abled or otherwise-gifted than yourself.
