I made a deliberate decision to not watch the episode and just read the spoilers. I had a feeling it was going to be more gory than I could handle and it sounds like I was right. Some of last season's episodes were already interrupting my sleep so I was considering quitting the show anyway. I might just let them stack up on my DVR for a while. There's a website I like: http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/The_Walking_Dead_Wiki They follow the plot and characters in detail for both the TV show and the comic book series. I might just read the episode synopsis on that website for a while so I can keep up and not have to watch the gruesome scenes. You'd think this would be the last season anyway. Who can keep this up for more than 7 seasons?
Per the writers on Talking Dead after the show, they've got a lot more story to tell.
Ooh, let me guess. There's a big bad guy, that they eventually defeat, then they find what they think is a safe place, and they find some peace for a while, but food is scarce and they need to venture out for miscellaneous supplies, and they run into some new people who seem bad but turn out to be good/good who turn out to be bad, and then some minor characters die right as we were beginning to care about them, and then there's another big bad guy, etc. etc. Also, there's about 5 lbs. of plot in a 10 lb. bag, and everything moves at a snail's pace with increasingly gimmicky scenarios and cliffhangers. This story was meant for a graphic novel...as an hour-long show for 7 seasons and counting, it is unsustainable. I'm with the other PPs, I'm done.
