I'm the sort of person who enjoys hearing the perspective of those who disagree with me. I think it's a way of keeping myself grounded-- of not living in a bubble. I want to feel as though I've left no stone unturned when making a decision. Personally, I feel that Hillary is a political animal. She eats, sleeps, and breathes Washinton politics. She is calculated, mechanical, and everything she does is premeditated. She has spent so long in the political spotlight that she probably can't remember what it is to be candid. But, I think she's intelligent, driven, "a fighter" (to quote her opponent), and when you look at her history of public service, she wants to serve the people. She is well-versed in presidential politics, and I choose to view that as a good thing: there won't be any learning curve for her figure out some way, any way, to try to work WITH the other party. In short, while I don't feel much connection to her, I feel her drawbacks (DC insider who rubs elbows with big-shots, using a personal server to evade scrutiny, being married to an unfaithful two-term pres...) won't impact me, the "little guy", in an adverse way. On the other hand, an untested, former reality star who made his mark in real estate, casinos, and branding--with his own questionable personality quirks--kind of embarrasses me. Oddly enough, I feel that had greater potential to impact my life. What am I not seeing?
What on earth drives you to this conclusion? She wants to serve only herself, OP.
+1. If she wanted to serve the people - the country - she never would have set up an unsecured server and sent all email, including classified, through it and thereby place the nation's secrets at risk. She did it to hide her wrongdoings, which if discovered would keep her from the presidency. She was and is so determined for the power that she had her server bleached after it was subpoened - a felony. (When asked if she ordered the destruction of evidence, she said "I don't recall.")
+ 1,000,000
+ another 1,000,000
PP here (who just got a couple + 1 million)...... The bigger problem here is that the media has changed the focus to Trump's sleaziness (while colluding with Hillary) because it takes the focus off the ISSUES: Hillary's poor foreign policies, her failings alas Sec of State, the degree of her corruption, her lies via public and private positions, and Trump's positions re obeying laws, particularly regarding illegal immigrants but crime in general, his plan to bring back jobs by lowering corporate taxes, his recognition that you can't buy votes by bribing people with impossibilities like free college, and his recognition that Obamacare is so flawed that it can't be fixed by throwing OPM after it. The media is keeping the focus on HIS personal failings (while practically omitting coverage of hers) because if the focus is on the ISSUES, she will lose.
