My DC got into schools ranked around 60-70 with a 30 ACT, 3.4 GPA and almost no ECs. A kid with great grades and ECs and an average ACT would probably have similar or better results. (Average ACT in DC's competitive HS is usually around 26, so not sky high). [/quote]
