Did you see how DCI already has outscored BASIS? The cognitive benefits of a second language are perhaps proving themselves...
Or perhaps the fact that DCI is a self-selecting feeder school and BASIS is an open lottery school could be at play...
Every DCI feeder is now a Tier 1 school (yes, even DC Bilingual and Stokes).
And Sela!!! So proud of the new Hebrew-immersion public charter school!!! And not a parent -- it's too far from me, but I visited & was impressed with the beautifully painted facilities, the doctorate & welcoming school director, and all the teachers. I wish it was closer to me because I would definitely put my kids there!
Too early to celebrate whenever not calibrating PARCC scores. I'm curious why they didn't get a NA ranking.
Too soon, Sherlock. I'm curious why you'd want to slam them for something beyond their control (such as being too young and not having the history - but that's probably not a problem you and your wrinkles imagined.) ;) OTOH, you might just be an anti-Semite and there's nothing that would satisfy you. (not a Sela parent btw, I just don't like anti-Semites)
WTF?!! The statement is valid. Historically, DCPCSB never gave rankings without I believe 2-3 years of test years. Example, Bridges has never (and still has not) been ranked. Curiosity begs why a school without PARCC or growth rate can be ranked. Bridges doesn't have growth as they've only had one year of testing but they could have been ranked based on same criteria as Sela. Your anti-Semite comment is completely off base and uncalled for. If anyone would question a MV or YY ranking would you claim racism? You sound unhinged.
Hasn't Bridges been a SN pre-school for most of its history? Do they even have testing grades? Is that a realistic comparison?
