So........don't watch it. Why try to watch a show you don't like? I loved Gilmore girls but there are plenty of popular shows I disliked. I just did not watch them.
Because I felt left out. Everyone always talked about or referenced the show, so I thought I was missing something really great. I started to watch it and was annoyed, but was kind of curious where it went and was hopeful that it would become less annoying. And I wanted to know who Lorelai would end up with. And I wanted to watch the reboot that everyone was excited about. I am a pop culture follower.
YES!! me too! Friends talking about how much they love it-- and Netflix pushing it based what I like. I didn't grow to hate it-- from the first episode I hated it. Very North-East, prep school, "clever" and I HATED the way Loreilei treated her parents-- especially hindering the relationship with her daughter and her grandparents. I kept trying, thinking "I must be missing something-- what exactly is wrong with me? Everyone says this is funny--- and I'm horrified . . ." Ultimately I don't think I got past more than 5 episodes. PS, I've been meaning to post this confessional for years and just couldn't bring myself to it. thanks for listening DCUM! I do feel better knowing I'm not the only one out there blind to the charms of "Gilmore Girls". ;-)
I like you. I've posted this b/f about the show. When GG was on air, I stopped watching it around season 3 or so. I just got fed up. I admit though I got suckered back into "watching" it when it came on Netflix basically as background filler when I was alone in the house doing dishes or something. It had such promise.
