My problem with this whole issue is that some of the deaths that have resulted in awful riots have been proven to be a result of really bad behavior on the part of the victim: Michael Brown, for example.  All the riots and destruction over his death make the whole issue look bogus.  That takes credence away from those deaths that are seriously questionable.

The death of Freddie Gray and the riots in Baltimore are another example.

When people riot over deaths that are not a result of police abuse, it raises questions over disturbances that are a result of abuse.

As far as the "conversation", I know that in my white family, we had that conversation with our son.  NO ONE likes to be stopped by a police officer.

I do not believe that police are out "hunting".  I do believe that very poor judgment has been used on many occasions.
