He wasn't disparaging poor people. Just making the correct observation that people who don't pay taxes - and certainly those who are the "takers" versus the makers - are not likely to vote Republican. They like the Democratic platform better, for obvious reasons.

It would be great if some employee secretly taped what Hillary was saying to her major donors in private (or perhaps what she said in her Wall Street speeches, hmmm?) and then splashed it all over the news. That's what happened in Romney's case.[/quote]

He lost my vote with that one because my one sibling and parents are part of the 47%.  I worry about them, too.[/quote]
