OP, you said white men, not most white men. Gross generalization to stir the pot. Inject a little nuance into your statement and then have a real discussion. This is just as bad as saying women will vote for Clinton just because she is a woman. Gender is not part of my calculus so why should I assume it is for white men?
OK, so I changed the title -- added "majority". The polls back up how majority of white men, especially non educated, support Trump. "Trump led Clinton among men overall (56 percent to 34 percent), white male college graduates (59 to 33) and white men without college degrees (76 to 14)." ""This is the group that economically and socially have lost the most ground in America over the last 30 or 40 years," he told ABC News on Tuesday. "There was a time when, by virtue of being a man, you could feel superior to women in the workforce. There was a time when you could make a pretty good living in manufacturing, and that’s disappearing. There was a time when you didn’t feel a lot of competition from immigrants ... and that's disappearing."" I feel like to this group of men, HRC epitomizes the loss of their "manness", and dark skin immigrants epitomizes the loss of their manufacturing jobs (which really started with Reagan when those jobs started moving down south). http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/donald-trumps-sizable-lead-white-male-voters-increases/story?id=39526363
I still don’t agree with your title. What is your evidence that the majority of men are opposed to HRC because of her gender? Just because this is a premise of some journalist?
As I stated, I wonder about it because of the latest broohaha over her lack of smiling on the CIC forum, which was called out by white men. But, what that article stated about uneducated white men seems dead on. Even Trump agrees that they are angry about the loss of jobs. In the past few decades, women have increased not only their presence, but their importance in the job market.
