Immigrants and their children do very well in school.
Yes I'm an immigrant, a very high achieving one and my kids are too. RACIST (to the original poster).
OP here. That word has absolutely lost it's meaning and does not hurt me one bit. It says way more about you that you would resort low ball name calling. My best friends are black, asian hispanic. A dinner party at my house looks like the UN. Guess what? They also wwant the public schools to focus on a quality education for the children, acheivement, excellence. But they aren't small minded like you.
You actually said "my best friends are black" well unfortunately as a result, you slot neatly into the definition of a "racist". I thought people stopped saying those kind of idiotic things in the 1980s. You're showing your age and / or total lack of integration into today's society.
Lol, I was accused of being racist. How else do you rebut such a slanderous accusation? It is the word extremist like you use to shut down any conversation of which they don't approve. In this case, the quality of Montco schools which is on the decline because it is busting at the seams and it is apparent why to everyone. There needs to be more discussion about how Montcoo is going to justify the tax increase for the schools. The Super needs to lay out how he plans on improving them for everyone, not just preferred groups and not by lowering the bar with grade inflation which is all we have heard about so far. Hello, how about smaller class sizes, more teachers, teachers aides, textbooks, building more schools? Give us some ideas on how the additional money is going to be used instead of just a condescending lecture. A brief overview on his plans would have been nice. But his omission of these things speaks volumes about where Montco is headed and I am growing more and more certain my kids won't be along for that ride. And FTR, I cherish my friends of all colors and I am fortunate to have them and there is nothing you could ever say that would diminish my gratitude or affection for them, including calling me the R word. That word means nothing to me or anyone else when you hurl it around so carelessly.
