As someone else said, I just consider it part of living in the city.  If I had an extremely fancy, expensive car I'd probably be very paranoid.  Never once did I think to go back to the mall and talk to security.  I know I've also knocked my door into a parked car and never left a note, but I've never hit one so hard that a permanent mark was left.  Usually just a little scuff that you can rub off with your finger.  I've been sitting in my car and had people bang my doors when getting out of  their cars and never even say sorry.  I don't think they even realized I was in my car.  It's kind of just one of the "rude behaviors" we've adapted as a busy society.

You're not getting arrested, so relax.
