+1  I don't even believe most of this stuff.  There's no way relatively young adults can amass the kinds of money posted in these threads on their own.  To the extent any of it's true, they always seem to leave out daddy's or grand daddy's contribution to their bottom line.  [/quote]

I don't necessarily think the responses are fake -- though I'm sure some are; how hard is it to add another 400k to your net worth on an anonymous board. But for the most part, they may be real responses but self selecting -- i.e. the ones who have $3 million at age 35 want to talk about it; the ones who are scraping to 50k don't want to post it -- esp. not when people will say, wow, I had my first 50k at age 21.[/quote]
