En masse they are undesirable. [/quote] IME people who take a cruise vs. actually stay on an island are looking for a different type of experience. Cruise crowds also seem to attract people trying to sell stuff or trying to get you to come into their restaurant. When I visit somewhere that is also a cruise destination, I usually try to avoid the throngs. If I wanted a cruise experience, I'd take a cruise. That's just me though.[/quote]
