What's your point? Nobody is trying to take away yoyr right to keep a gun in your house for self defense. We simply want proper background checks, registration and training. Since this man was successful, I have a feeling he would have passed a test with flying colors. Therefore, reasonable gun laws would not have prevented him from saving the day. However, it might have prevented the intruder from getting a gun. [/quote]

You can definitely take someone's right away, just get a constitutional amendment put through. It's very straightforward. Not easy, but can be done.

Also straightforward, but very easy to do, is to make your own rounds? Gun powder, case, primer, bullet, none of these are particularly difficult to manufacturer, even in a small personal workshop. The chemistry and metallurgy involved have been well established for many decades. Enough machinery is already in private hands that this idea of taxing a bullet is laughable. [/quote]
