Total tangent here--on 23andMe, there are boards devoted to this (not to E. Warren, but to this issue).  Apparently, [b]tons of people believe they have a Native American ancestor, [/b]but they get their genetic results, and they do not.  It's some weird epidemic and I have no theory as to why this is.

As to Trump, it's using one word to convey an idea--it's a soundbite, if you will.  It's perfectly suited to the mass medium of the day.

I'm now old enough to have enough of a comparison point from the past, so I feel like I'm watching the demise of the West.  I try to take hope from in that even the middle-aged ancients were going on about the demise of their culture, so maybe it's just my age, and not so dire of a situation.  My friend from China is not worried; she says American government is designed to survive an incompetent (or a variety of negative adjectives) in the Presidency (this label could apply to a few people, not just Trump).[/quote]

Everyone in the state of Oklahoma, for starters.  And lots of people in other states, including my DH.  No, he doesn't "claim" it, but it is the family lore.[/quote]
