The double standard is astounding. Not one wants to admit that girls can be more sexually curious/aggressive and that it makes some of the more naive/immature boys uncomfortable. If it were boys drawing pictures of vaginas, everyone would have a fit and demand the boys be expelled or something. And the "close your legs" comment - of course that HAS to be the boy's fault for taking up the aisle? It couldn't possibly be a sweet innocent girl being inappropriately sexual, right? Gross. I do honestly feel sorry for boys in this day and age. And I'm a mom of both sexes, by the way.
+1000 I'm the mom of boys and girls too. Such a double standard here. The posters saying, "Oh, this is just such normal behavior," would be outraged if a boy was doing this. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so idiotic.
I am one of the posters who said this seems normal for girls because they are so overtly sexually aggressive compared to boys at that age. Even if I see this as unfortunately normal, I think it a travesty that society has created a situation where girls acting in degrading and even dangerously sexual ways is "normal" and empowering. They lose big time. It is just as unfortunate that there is such a double standards for boys. For example, that girl in Florida who invited 20 or so boys to have sex with her in the school bathroom and videotape it? The boys are being punished, including one that was arrested. She is not even though it was her idea.
You mean the girl who was a former victim of sexual trafficking and invited one boy into the bathroom with her initially but the rest showed up and she didn't resist? Really poor example.
No. She invited all of them. All.of them need therapy. What she initiated and they all chose to do is not healthy, normal behavior from any of them.
