If your kid is looking for a summer job to make money, he should wait tables or work at an ice cream shop. You don't become a camp counselor to make $$$, and having already shelled out multiple thousands to send my own child to camp, I don't appreciate the shakedown by the parent of a kid who chose to take such a job for the summer.
