"Activity" dates with someone you don't have personal references for/met online/haven't already been on 3 dates with are a terrible idea. Get a drink, or a cup of coffee, but don't agree to go on a multi-hour hike or multi-course tasting menu until you're reasonably sure a) the person is sane and b) you will enjoy their company for that period of time.
