Jews were discriminated against until they gained political influence. Once Asian Americans gain more influence economically and politically, which they will because they are a successful minority, the tides will change.
Highly Doubtful. Jews have amazing group solidarity, especially on Jewish social rights issues. Asians have zero group solidarity. What has Akaka, inouye, hirono, jindal, Haley, bharara, tanden, katyal, Srinivasan, nooyi,Nadella, pichai said or done anything about this? Zero. Nothing. Nada. You know that the head of the civil rights division at doj is an Asian American, yes? She hasn't done shit about it either. Asians are their own worst enemies on this issue.
At some point, some Hispanic democrats in California tried to reintroduce affirmative action into colleges. The Asian American community rallied together and got the proposal revoked. Californian democrats know not even to come near this issue for awhile. The fact that a 100 organizations are working on this says a lot. At the end of the day it's an issue that impacts their children regardless of what type of Asian. You can be sure the tiger moms will be on it since education is viewed of the upmost importance.
I'm doubtful. Jews understand the importance of public service, policy advocacy, lobbying, etc. Asians don't. That's why Asians with juice, like the ones I mentioned haven't done anything on the issue. Prop 209 defense was a grassroots thing. The people i listed probably would've supported overturned prop 209 if they had carte Blanche to do so. Nadella and pichai will bend over backwards for jesse Jackson and the URM hustlers every time they come out west to bitch about URMs in large cap tech but wouldn't ever in a million years say anything on this matter. That's the difference between the Jewish community and Asian one.
