The "proper evaluation" that people talk about costs a minimum of $3k, but more likely closer to $5k, which is money many people don't have. Also there is a wait to get the evaluation during which time your child continues to have problems that may have been treatable. The right thing for your child may be a neuropsych eval. OTOH, it may be working through your pediatrician. [/quote]
