Seriously! Life is too short. You can breeze past, arms full of laundry, make a genuine lovely smile and say how glad you are to see them, then go do your stuff. No need to hang around if you don't like it! We aren't in the old visiting days of yore, when you waited at home all morning for visitors and people came with calling cards. If they think you're rude, it truly does not matter. What will probably happen is that they think you're healthily busy and that it's nice you've stopped by to say hello. What's important is that you learn to accept the tiny probability that someone, somewhere, someday, might get offended by one of your actions. The day it happens, you'll survive![/quote]
