Well, she'd be right.  It's not really a secret that my job is only tolerable but I stick with it because of the business travel (to cool) places, and therefore miles and hotel points I earn and use on vacations.  But still.  I don't complain about any of that, by the way.

I don't know.  If I had a job like yours, but was able to take my kids around the country/world for very cheap, I would consider that a huge benefit and a perk.  Traveling can be very enriching. Her comment was immature and unnecessary any way you look at it.[/quote]
