In hindsight, this woman was overly welcoming and involved since she didn't really deal with him directly and it wasn't her role to have lunch meetings with him, etc.

So a couple things:
Are these work related at all?
Is she single?
Is the conversation more work than social?
Does she try to get you to talk about your wife or talk about her dating life/relationship?

From your questions at the end, it appears you believe a man should not go to lunch with a woman unless she is single and it is work related. And they should not talk about their social lives or his wife. Is that right?[/quote]
