[/quote] Shepherd is not an easy school to get to for much of the city. It is 2 blocks off of 16th St but the general city population who is considering it is a much narrower band. [/quote] Agree that it is hard to get to for many, which is why I think it's not more popular as far as waitlists. My child attends and I'd say most OOB classmates are from relatively close by--Takoma, Brightwood, etc. I've met a few far-flung families but not many (Petworth, far eastern Ward 5).[/quote]
