[/quote] No, scapegoating is a constant. NCLB is gone. The emphasis on standardized testing, in my experience, is overhyped, especially by people who do not currently have children in public school. As for deskilling of the profession -- I haven't noticed the professional requirements for teachers becoming more lax; what am I missing?[/quote]
