These people who want you to go without help are crazy. And if I were your brother, I'd want you to ask. I may not be able to help much, but I'd try. I don't know what your financial or caregiving needs are. Is it something a couple thousand or childcare offers could help with? Or much bigger than that? Do you belong to a church or other place of worship? They should be helping out too. And does the hospital social worker have any resources you could tap into? Food banks, donations, etc?
