My folks divorced when I was 5 in 1985, and my mom would still be happy to spend an afternoon talking crap about him. The fact that she won't let go doesn't mean that I have to put up with it. I just say something a lot like this suggestion, with the shorthand of "let it go" or "it's been 30 years" or "people change." Whatever you do, DON'T ENGAGE.[/quote]
