My kids all have responsibilities around the house, such as taking out the trash, emptying and reloading the dishwasher, cleaning their rooms, setting the table, etc.  But generally meals and laundry are done by me and I'm just fine with that.

Having my oldest home from college and seeing how independent he is makes me realize how fast their childhood goes and soon my other kids will be out on their own as well.  I'm enjoying this time while it lasts.
