It just might not be academic pressure. The fact that you think that most other parents think like you should be concerning, not seen as a good thing. It just means there is groupthink as to what a child's path should look like rather than a diversity of opinions. Pressure doesn't just have to be on academics, it can be pressure to fit a very specific mold, or to be quirky in just a specific way, or to be entrepreneurial in just that special way. I don't know what the answer is, but I do think it's fairly delusional to think that kids at "our school" are immune. [/quote]
