I was going to go this path (DH carries very good benefits) the rate that many dentists are paying for Temps is $500/day. No benefits, 1099, but a ton of flexibility and choice.[/quote] Right but that needs to be said before people think that it's a salaried and benefits $50/HR. You have to pay about 25% of that $50 to taxes, SS and Medicare which brings it down to around $42, then pay your own health insurance or get added to a plan, another $5 or so, and no paid days off or vacation days so if you or child get sick, need to go to MD appt, want to go away for holidays you have to factor that cost in. I did this for awhile in another field and I ended up at about $28/hr spread over the year taking the above into account. [/quote]
