[/quote] Yes your right about that "Custis originally wanted to name the property "Mount Washington", but was persuaded by family members to name it "Arlington House" after the Custis family's homestead on the Eastern Shore of Virginia." But it was still General Lee's house when it was seized and it was later given back to the Lee family by the Supreme Court. The point is that, like it or not, the confederates are an important part of Virginia history and it is silly to try to wipe out every mention of it. I'm a new englander originally, but I can appreciate the fact that it's worth honoring those that fought and served on both sides of the war. Note Georgetown University's colors: blue and grey. Would you have them change it to only blue?[/quote]
