New poster, but there was a national graphic along thsee lines that adjusted class by COL based on thr area. DC metro Area was very sku'd due to the coat of housing and general COL. Those numbers are not way off. Wish I could find that graphic.[/quote]

You're saying the income of a middle-class family in this area is 300k to 1 million, and a family making less than 300k is lower-class???

What kind of skewed idea of middle-class lifestyle do you have?

FWIW, we, a four-person family, have an income around 250k, live just outside the District, and I totally consider us to be well-off. Not filthy rich, but very comfortable.[/quote]
