Some of these kids are going to prep classes and their parents are signing them up for math and science teams starting in fifth or sixth grade. My child has encountered many kids at TJ who are only there because their parents insisted on STEM activities, even if that is not where the child's actual interests were. When they get to college and can finally make their own choices, they are choosing to explore their true interests. [/quote]
